Terms of Service
Last updated 1 October 2026
These terms govern your use of VALBOARD, a web application for building and organizing Valorant strategies. VALBOARD is published and operated by Synaptec, a SAS registered in France under SIREN 528 819 758, with its registered office at 16 Allée de Jeandey, 33360 Latresne, France ("we", "us"). Full company details are on the legal notice page.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Closed beta
VALBOARD is currently offered as a closed beta. Features and availability may change while the beta runs.
Access is granted at our discretion, account by account, in response to a request made from the beta screen, and may come with an end date. You also have access while you are a member of a team one of whose owners has it. Without access, you keep your account settings, including exporting your data and deleting your account, and you can still join a team through an invite link and open a shared strategy session. We may end beta access with reasonable notice, or immediately where section 8 is seriously breached.
Beta access is free. No plan is on sale and no payment is taken during the beta, and access never turns into a paid subscription on its own: sections 5, 6 and 7 and the refund policy describe what applies once subscriptions open, and we will tell you before they do. What you create during the beta is kept: if your access ends, your account and your content stay, and you can still export your data or delete your account.
1. The service
VALBOARD lets you draw Valorant strategies on a map, save them to a playbook, and arrange them into gameplans. Strategy sessions can be shared by link, and everyone holding that link can edit the session live.
A session link is a capability. Anyone who has it can open and edit that session, with or without an account. A session that has not been saved ends shortly after its last participant leaves. The link of a saved strategy keeps working for as long as the strategy exists and cannot be changed or switched off: to stop it working, duplicate the strategy (the copy gets a new link) and delete the original. Treat it as you would any other shared secret.
We may change, add or remove features to improve the service, keep it secure or comply with the law. We will not remove a feature your paid plan is built around without notice.
2. Accounts
Accounts are created by signing in with Discord or Google. We do not issue passwords and we never receive yours. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the security of the provider account behind it.
You must be old enough to hold an account with the provider you sign in through.
3. Age
A paid plan must be held by an adult. To buy a subscription you must be 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter into a contract. Placing an order confirms that you are.
Below that age, VALBOARD may be used under the responsibility of a parent, a guardian or the club you play for, who is then responsible for that use and for anything bought for you. We do not verify age ourselves beyond what the provider you sign in through requires (section 2).
4. Your content
Your strategies, gameplans, uploaded images and team data remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to host, display and back up that content so the service can work, nothing more. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything.
Content created in a team workspace is held by that team: it stays with the team when a member leaves or deletes their account, and any owner of the team can delete the team and everything in it.
You are responsible for what you upload. Do not upload content you have no right to use.
5. Plans, prices and orders
No plan is on sale during the closed beta. Once subscriptions open, VALBOARD will be offered on a free plan and on paid plans, whose contents and prices are listed on the pricing page. Prices shown to consumers include VAT where applicable.
Orders are handled by our reseller.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders.
VALBOARD provides, operates and licenses the VALBOARD service. Orders and subscriptions are sold and invoiced by the applicable Paddle entity, identified at checkout, acting as authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, invoicing and the indirect taxes on the transaction; VALBOARD provides access to the service and product support. The selling entity and the terms that apply to your purchase are set out at checkout and in Paddle's buyer terms.
This means there are two relationships. We provide the product, license it to you and handle product support. Paddle sells the transaction, takes payment, collects taxes and issues your invoice. The purchase itself is governed by Paddle's buyer terms, which are presented at checkout, in addition to these terms.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time; it stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling never deletes your strategies, gameplans or teams.
Refund terms, and your statutory right of withdrawal, are set out in full in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Price changes
If we change the price of a plan, an existing subscription keeps the price it was bought at for at least twelve months from the change, and we give at least 30 days' notice before a new price applies to it. You can cancel at any point in that window.
Changing plan or letting a subscription lapse ends that protection: a new subscription is bought at the current price. Exchange-rate movements, tax changes and added features are not price changes.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not use VALBOARD to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights.
- Do not attempt to access accounts, workspaces or sessions that are not yours.
- Do not attack the service: no scraping at scale, no automated load, no probing for vulnerabilities without our written agreement.
- Do not resell or redistribute access to a paid plan.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious, we will ask you to fix it first.
9. Moderation and content decisions
We host what you create and we do not review it in advance. VALBOARD is still not a place to put anything at all, and this section says what happens when something does not belong here.
What is not allowed. Content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights: copyright, trademark, image rights. Harassment, threats, hate speech, and content targeting a person. Sexual content, and anything whatsoever involving a minor. Malware, phishing, scams and spam. Personal data about someone who has not agreed to it being there.
Reporting content. Anyone can report a strategy session, with or without an account, using the Report content control in the editor of the session concerned, or by writing to contact@valboard.gg. You are told on screen that the report has been received. If you give a contact email address, we also confirm receipt at that address.
What we do about it. Every report is reviewed by a person: we use no automated tool to detect, assess or moderate content. We look at reports without undue delay and act proportionately: we may remove content, restrict access to a session, disable a session link, or suspend or close the account behind it. When we act against something you created, we tell you what we did and why. Where a breach is not serious, we ask you to fix it first. We are not obliged to act on a report we find unfounded, and we say so when we decide that. Where a contact email address was given with the report, we communicate our decision, and the reasons for it, to that address.
If you think one of our decisions was wrong, reply to it at contact@valboard.gg and a person will look again. Nothing here affects your right to go to a court.
10. Availability
We aim to keep VALBOARD available but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider incidents and faults happen. The service is provided as-is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and that cannot be excluded, including, for consumers, the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death, personal injury or fraud. If you are a consumer, or a non-professional such as a club run as an association, nothing in these terms reduces your right to compensation when we fail to meet our obligations. If you use VALBOARD as a professional, our liability arising out of your use of VALBOARD is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for content you or your teammates create, or for a session link that you or your teammates share beyond your team, unless the harm results from our own failure.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using VALBOARD and delete your account at any time from your settings, unless you are the only owner of a team that still has other members: make another member an owner with the team's owner invite link, or delete the team, first. If you cannot, write to us and we will help. We may end the agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately where section 8 is seriously breached. If we end it without cause, we refund the unused part of a paid period.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies; you can end the agreement before that date by deleting your account, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept it.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
We will always try to resolve a complaint directly. Write to us via the contact page.
If a complaint stays unresolved, consumers may refer the dispute free of charge to our consumer mediator, CM2C, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris. A dispute can be submitted using the CM2C dispute form, or by writing to litiges@cm2c.net. Full details are on the legal notice page.
15. Riot Games
VALBOARD isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games, and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.
